Here’s one question everyone should ask themselves when buying a home.

So you’ve thought long and hard, and you’ve decided you want to buy a home. That’s great! However, what is the first step you should take?

Depending on who you ask, you have a few options. You can check your credit, do online research, or contact a Realtor. These are all good options (especially the last one), but I recommend something different.

“It’s up to you to decide what you make a priority.”

Ask yourself a contemplative question: Do I need to move, or do I want to move? Maybe you’d like to move closer to your friends, or maybe you just want a home with a great pool. Either way, motivations like these are different from something like moving for a job or health reasons.

If you’re like most people, your home-buying journey is motivated by a mix of needs and wants, and it’s up to you to decide what you make a priority. Once you decide your priorities, then I suggest contacting a professional about how to move forward.

If you are looking to buy bold, or if you have questions about anything else, do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am always willing to help.
